This 'changes' file may be a little messy but try to get on with it. :-)
NOTE! There may be a bug in file transfers. If user will not be prompted
for a transfer at all (ie. after packing messages, PTQWK will jump straight
to question 'update pointers?'), please use parameter -BUGHUNT to save
external information to SYSTEM.LOG. Please send this information to me
so that I can solve this problem. Thank you!
From 1.00A13-B to 1.00B2
Fixed :
- Pressing sysop keys required pressing locally Enter afterwards. Fixed.
- Halting message find process with 'download only found msgs' option
did not unmark the rest of the msgs. Fixed.
- Ctrl-S and Ctrl-E did not work properly since they were converted to
cursor handling codes. Fixed.
- If user tried to upload reply to msg area to which (s)he had no
write rights, all remaining replies were CORRUPTED! Fixed. I'm very
sorry if this caused any trouble to any of you!
Added :
- Full multi-language and multi-menu support!
- Language file editor added to PTUTIL.EXE
- When tossing replies, more information can be shown of the message.
%2 = To whom message is addressed.
%3 = Subject.
Also more information is written to SYSTEM.LOG.
- If net mail destination address is empty, the user will be prompted for
the address.
- GROUPS.CTL, user groups. May be used in INCLUDE.CTL and *Everyone* msgs.
- Private messages addressed to All are not accepted anymore.
- Message recipients on local areas can now be checked from user base and
messages can be discarded if recipient is not found.
- PTQWK will not exceed anymore the maximum size of MSGTXT.BBS (16384 kb),
and the maximum size of MSGHDR.BBS (32767 msgs)
- Name skipping (OMEN: TRASHxy.PST)
- Subject skipping (OMEN: SKIPxy.PST)
- When scanning new files, area statistics are shown.
- User setup msgs : Supporting now keywords ALIAS, CITY, DATA, VOICE and
PASSWORD too.

From 1.00A13 to 1.00A13-B
Fixed :
- EXTPE Zmodem: default config SBBSFILE char was 'Y' instead of 'Z'. Fixed.
- In protocol/archive selection, PTQWK did not accept procotols and archive
formats if there were inactive ones before them. Fixed.
- In hotkey mode, pressing F1-F10 and Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn locally moved cursor
to the next line on the screen. Fixed.
- Sysop paged -flag was not cleared after chat. Fixed.
- Improved run-time error handler a bit.
- Runtime error occured when tossing echo replies if ECHOMAIL.BBS existed
but NETMAIL.BBS did not. Fixed.
- No more possible to exceed the maximum of 16384 msgs in msg base.
- NETMAIL.BBS and ECHOMAIL.BBS were not used if they did not exist.
******************************************************************************
From 1.00A12 to 1.00A13
Fixed :
- Runtime error occured when pressed left arrow in edit field if
already in the first column. Fixed.
- Local file attach directory could not be created/removed. Fixed.
- SuperBBS's internal protocols (EXTPE) finally working!
- INCLUDE.CTL did not work. Fixed and improved. :-)
- PTQWK net mail attach did not work. Fixed.
- My programs have always been Ansi-aware. This caused, however,
a little problem: when user ment to press Esc, (s)he had to press
it twice. Fixed.
- Toggle last read pointers did not update 'new msgs count'. Now updating
when user is downloading 'new msgs on combined boards'.
- Little optimized MSGIDX.BBS use.
- Now day-searching works with MSGHDR.BBS, too, if MSGIDX.BBS is correct.
- It was possible to keep on creating 0-msg packets if all msgs that were
left were deleted in SBBS and msg indexes were not updated. SHOULD be
fixed now (not sure...)
Changed :
- CONTROL.DAT is not added anymore in to Omen packets
- In normal mode, user will not be prompted for 'Current settings:
New msgs on comb. areas' when downloading messages. Instead, new
menutype and selection added.
- Parameters can now be entered like -USER PASI TALLINIEMI, too.
- SuperBBS language files are now first searched from node directory,
then from SBBS main directory
- Improved char conversion.
- Toggle last read pointers; toggled areas are cleared after toggling,
all areas are on by default
Added :
- Install now recognises HPFM drives, too
- Support for MBUNLOCK.NOW file
- Min. msgs to pack in user file: messages are not packed if total
amount is smaller than desired
- ANSI files are now searched from default text directory, too.
- When sysop is yelled, bottom line is changed to proper line
- INCLUDE.CTL: files can be defined to be sent to selected users only
(see examples)
- help screen to toggle last read pointers
- Convert chars in subject (both upload/download),
sender's and receiver's name (only upload) if necessary.
- ECHOMAIL.BBS and/or NETMAIL.BBS will be used if echo/netmail entered.
- NETZONES.CTL: match net mail zone with origin address
- Netmail support:
∙ Destination address must be specified either in the subject (real
subject can be defined in message text) or in the beginning of the
message text. Flags CRASH (if enough sec) and KILL can be used.
Sysop may set default net attribute in config.
∙ Support for net mail replies. Reply normally to the same board. If
only net mail replies are allowed on the board, message is sent as
netmail. If you are afraid that PTQWK will not find the original
message (deleted etc.), use same methods as in normal netmail
messages to define destination address. Usually destination address
need not be specified (but just in case ;-)). Flags CRASH and KILL
can be used.
∙ PTQWK need not more than one netmail board (that defined in SBBS
config) because origin address is matched with destination zone.
If NETZONES.CTL is not found, zones are tried to match from AKAs
specified in SBBS config.
∙ SUBJECT: @<ZONE>:<NET>/<NODE>
∙ MSGTEXT: TO: <ZONE>:<NET>/<NODE>
FLAGS: CRASH,KILL
SUBJ: <SUBJECT>
